You can count on radio stations to change hands or formats sooner or later, so we cannot guarantee this directory is up-to-date at all times.  We have expanded our listing to include digital channels (click on Home for more details on digital HD radio).  Since some radio stations simulcast on digital television, we have also added the channel for the one that’s free on terrestrial TV and the cable channels for the 30 local stations that may be available to all subscribers in the Bay Area (check with your cable TV company).  See Bay Area Radio Airplay for our compilation of real-time playlists (you may notice a slight delay when this page loads).  You’ll find some programming information at Bay Area Radio Shows.

When we first published this radio guide in the early 2000s, more than a few music stations did not provide live streaming or a real-time playlist for financial and technical reasons.  As these features have become the norm (though you may have to go to third-party sites for airplay archives in some cases), it’s no longer necessary to track their progress here.  So let us know what differentiating Web factors we should document next (Facebook likes?).
